Frequently Asked Questions
I strive to create an environment that is caring, confidential and nonjudgmental. The therapy hour is a time and place where you can feel safe enough to do important work. I also believe that therapy can be enjoyable and life-affirming, even at times a fun experience.
Psychotherapy provides the opportunity for a new start, an escape from ruminating, feelings of helplessness, and indecision. I will work to enable you to see and experience your situation in a new way – and take action to make important changes.
I take Medicare but no other insurance plans at this time.
In some cases I am able to offer a reduced rate for therapy (“sliding scale”), depending on your financial need. If I’m unable to offer a reduced rate I can help you find a qualified therapist who can.
